Wyro's Perps tab isn't only for crypto any more. Where perps are available, you can trade markets that track stocks such as NVDA, TSLA and AAPL, commodities such as gold, silver and crude oil, and a few stock indices, from the same Hyperliquid account and USDC as your BTC or AVAX positions. News tagged with each ticker sits one tap from the chart.

These are leveraged perpetual futures, not shares or physical commodities. Leverage magnifies gains and losses, positions can be liquidated, and you can lose your entire margin.

Key takeaways

  • Stock, commodity and index markets are Hyperliquid perps from XYZ, a market deployer on Hyperliquid.
  • A perp tracks a price. You don't own shares, get dividends or voting rights, or hold any gold or oil.
  • Margin is USDC in your own Hyperliquid account: one balance for crypto and XYZ markets.
  • Each market sets its own maximum leverage. Wyro starts at 2x, and some markets are isolated margin only.
  • News headlines are tagged with the tickers they mention. On every market, the Social button shows posts and news about that ticker.
  • Perps aren't available in the US and its territories, Ontario, the UK, or sanctioned regions.

What you can trade

Hyperliquid lets outside teams deploy their own perp markets on its exchange, a feature called HIP-3. XYZ (trade.xyz) is one of those deployers, and it lists perps on stocks, indices and commodities. Wyro shows Hyperliquid's main markets plus XYZ's, and sorts them into categories:

  • Stocks, grouped into Semiconductors & Chips, Hardware, Cloud & Software, Internet & Consumer Tech, Fintech & Crypto Exposure, and Automotive & EV. Examples: NVDA, AMD, TSLA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, META, COIN and HOOD.
  • Commodities: GOLD, SILVER, PLATINUM, COPPER, ALUMINIUM and URANIUM, oil as CL (WTI crude) and BRENTOIL, and NATGAS.
  • Indices: SP500, XYZ100, JP225 and KR200.

The lists change as markets are added or retired, so the app is the place to check. Other HIP-3 deployers' markets aren't shown.

Same account, same USDC

Stock and commodity perps don't need a separate deposit. When you first Enable Trading, Wyro turns on Hyperliquid's unified account mode, so the USDC in your Hyperliquid account backs positions on Hyperliquid's main markets and on XYZ's. Deposits and withdrawals work exactly as they do for crypto perps: native USDC from Avalanche, routed through Relay, minimum 5 USDC. How to trade Hyperliquid perps from an Avalanche wallet covers deposits, the agent key, and withdrawals step by step.

Wyro still doesn't hold your funds or execute orders; Hyperliquid matches them.

What's on a market screen

Open a market such as NVDA or GOLD and you get the same screen as any crypto perp:

  • A price chart with 24h change, high, low and volume, plus the funding rate and a countdown to the next funding payment.
  • About: a short description where one exists, the market's category path (for example Stocks / Semiconductors & Chips), and website or social links where the catalog has them.
  • Your position, once you have one: size, PnL, margin mode, and Liq. Price.
  • A Social button beside Trade that opens a live feed for that ticker.

News next to the market

Wyro's news feed takes headlines from a set of news channels, rewrites them into short English summaries, drops duplicates, and tags each one with the tickers it mentions. Each ticker carries a sentiment badge (up, down, or neutral), an automated estimate of the likely direction of the story's impact, not a recommendation.

There are two ways to read it:

  • From the market. Tap Social on any market. News tagged with that ticker appears in the same live feed as community posts.
  • From Home. Recent News shows the latest headlines. Tap through to News to filter by topic (Markets, Macro, Regulation, DeFi, Protocol, Security and more), by ticker, or by the people and companies a story names.

What the feed doesn't cover. The news channels Wyro follows are crypto-focused. Stock and commodity stories show up when those channels report them, such as a chipmaker's revenue guidance or a macro event that moves gold. But Wyro has no earnings calendar, no company filings feed, and no analyst reports. For official numbers, go to the company's investor-relations page or its regulatory filings.

How to trade a stock or commodity perp

  1. Fund your Hyperliquid account. In Trade → Perps, tap Deposit and move at least 5 USDC from Avalanche. If it's your first time, tap Enable Trading and approve once.
  2. Find the market. Open the Market tab, choose Perps, and tap the Stocks, Commodities or Indices chip. A second row of chips narrows it down, for example to Semiconductors & Chips. You can also tap a category card in the Explore section on Home.
  3. Read before you trade. Open the market, check About, and tap Social to see recent posts and news for that ticker.
  4. Set up the order. Tap Trade, choose Long or Short and Market or Limit, then set size and leverage. Wyro starts at 2x; the maximum depends on the market.
  5. Pick a margin mode. Choose Cross or Isolated. If cross is greyed out, the app shows "This market supports isolated margin only."
  6. Review and place. The order preview doesn't show a liquidation price. Once the position opens, check Liq. Price and adjust if it's closer than you expected.

Trading hours and price gaps

Stock exchanges and commodity futures markets close overnight, at weekends and on holidays. According to XYZ's oracle documentation, while the external market is closed its oracle starts from the last external price and then follows Hyperliquid's own order book. When the external market reopens, the oracle goes back to the external price.

So a price that drifted during a closure can jump to where the real market opens, and company news often lands outside regular hours. A liquidation price that felt safe on Friday can be hit at Monday's open. Wyro doesn't display market hours; check XYZ's specifications and holiday closures before you hold a position over a close.

Fees

Hyperliquid's trading fees apply. HIP-3 markets set fees differently from Hyperliquid's main markets, and rates can change; see Hyperliquid's fee page. Wyro doesn't set a builder fee. Funding is paid every hour between longs and shorts, as on other Hyperliquid perps, and deposits and withdrawals carry network gas and Relay's fee, shown before you confirm.

Risks

  • You don't own the asset. No shares, dividends, voting rights, or claim on physical metal or oil. The perp only tracks a price.
  • You can lose your entire margin. Leverage magnifies losses as much as gains, and positions can be liquidated.
  • Gaps around closures. Off-hours prices follow Hyperliquid's order book, and they can move sharply when the real market reopens.
  • Third-party markets. XYZ deploys these markets and runs their oracle and settings, and it can change or close them. Hyperliquid, Relay and USDC carry their own risks.
  • Funding adds up. Holding a position for days can cost, or earn, a meaningful amount.
  • News isn't advice. Summaries and sentiment badges are automated and can be wrong or late. Check the original source before you act.

Start small and with low leverage. If you'd rather not use leverage at all, spot swaps on Avalanche may fit better. See the markets on the homepage and more on the Perps page.

FAQ

Do I own NVDA or Tesla shares when I trade them in Wyro?

No. You hold a perpetual futures position that tracks the price. You get no shares, dividends or voting rights, and you can be liquidated.

Can I trade gold or oil in Wyro?

Where perps are available, yes, through perps such as GOLD, SILVER, CL (WTI crude) and BRENTOIL. You never hold physical metal or oil; the position only tracks the price.

Do I need a separate balance for stock perps?

No. With trading enabled, Wyro uses Hyperliquid's unified account, so one USDC balance covers crypto and XYZ markets. Deposit native USDC from Avalanche, minimum 5 USDC.

What happens to stock perp prices when the stock market is closed?

According to XYZ, its oracle follows Hyperliquid's order book until the external market reopens, then returns to the external price. Prices can jump at the open. Wyro doesn't show market hours, so check XYZ's schedule.

Does Wyro show earnings reports?

Not as a dedicated feature. There's no earnings calendar or filings feed. News stories about a company appear tagged with its ticker when Wyro's news sources cover them.

Are stock and commodity perps available in the US?

No. Perps in Wyro aren't available in the US and its territories, Ontario, the UK, sanctioned regions, or where your location can't be determined.
