Wyro vs Core

Core is Ava Labs’ own wallet and a strong choice for Avalanche. Wyro overlaps with it on staking, Aave and Benqi, and recurring swaps, and differs in where perps live, how transactions are previewed, and how much you can do from your phone and home screen.

Core is made by Ava Labs. Facts checked November 4, 2026, with sources below.

Both offer

  • Delegating AVAX on the P-Chain from mobile
  • Lending and borrowing with Aave and Benqi
  • Recurring swaps
  • Ledger on mobile
  • An in-app dapp browser

Where Wyro differs

  • Hyperliquid perps inside the mobile app (Core documents perps for Core Web)
  • Register a validator from your phone (Core’s mobile help center documents delegation)
  • One Transfer screen across the C-Chain, P-Chain, and Hyperliquid
  • A Tenderly balance-change preview before you confirm C-Chain transactions
  • Home-screen widgets (Android now, iPhone at launch), including a staking unlock countdown
  • A social feed with token news, and payment request links

Where Core leads

  • Gasless eligible C-Chain transactions
  • Seedless sign-in
  • A browser extension today, and a web app open to everyone (Wyro’s web app is in private beta and its extension is coming soon)
  • Prediction markets (on Core Web)
  • Core Bridge, X-Chain support, and in-app buying
  • Built by Ava Labs, the team behind Avalanche

“Not documented” means we didn’t find it in that wallet’s official docs on the date above, not that it doesn’t exist. Features change often; check each wallet’s own documentation. Spotted something out of date? Email contact@wyrolabs.org.

Switching to Wyro

You don’t need to move funds. Import your existing recovery phrase into Wyro and the same C-Chain addresses and balances appear. Keep your phrase offline, and only ever type it inside the app.

FAQ

Wyro vs Core: questions

Something else? Visit support or email us.

Is Wyro a good Core wallet alternative?

If you mostly use Avalanche from your phone, Wyro covers the same staking, Aave and Benqi, and recurring swaps as Core’s mobile app, and adds Hyperliquid perps on mobile, balance-change previews, and home-screen widgets. If you need a browser extension, gasless transactions, or seedless sign-in, Core offers those and Wyro doesn’t.

Can I use the same wallet in Core and Wyro?

Yes. Import the same recovery phrase into Wyro and you’ll see the same C-Chain addresses. Never type your recovery phrase anywhere except inside the app itself.

Can I stake AVAX in both?

Yes. Both support native delegation on the P-Chain. Wyro also lets you register a validator from your phone. In the Wyro web app, which is in private beta, signing staking transactions needs the Core browser extension.
